Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)
Expand your teaching credentials to multi-engine aircraft. Develop the skills to train pilots in advanced aircraft operations, emergency procedures, and complex systems while refining your own expertise.
ABOUT THIS CERTIFICATE
The Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate allows you to teach students in multi-engine aircraft. This is a valuable credential that opens additional instructing opportunities and lets you build flight hours in twin-engine aircraft.
Over 2 weeks, you'll learn to instruct engine-out procedures, Vmc demonstrations, multi-engine systems management, and emergency scenarios from the right seat of our Piper Twin Comanche. Teaching multi-engine operations deepens your own understanding and proficiency.
MEI-qualified instructors are highly sought after at flight schools and can command premium rates. The multi-engine hours you log while teaching also add diversity to your logbook, which airlines value during the hiring process.
