Your discovery-flight questions,
answered.
How much is a discovery flight at Venture West?
The Venture West booking page lists a total of $99 for a discovery flight. This was checked on September 12, 2026. Review the total and terms in the booking calendar before reserving.
How long should I allow for my visit?
The booking calendar reserves a 1 hour 15 minute appointment. This is the appointment length, not a promise of 75 minutes in the air. Arrive early as instructed in your booking details; contact the team to confirm the planned flight portion.
Do I need previous flying experience?
No previous flying experience is needed for an introductory discovery flight. An instructor introduces the aircraft and flight plan, explains what to expect, and guides the flight.
Will I have a chance to try the controls?
The booking description includes a hands-on flight experience under instructor guidance. Your instructor determines which activities are appropriate for the conditions and explains what you can try.
Where do I meet the team?
Meet at Venture West Aviation, Falcon Field Airport, 4517 E Mallory Cir, Suite 129, Mesa, AZ 85215. Follow the arrival instructions supplied with your reservation.
What should I confirm before booking?
Confirm any age or passenger requirements, what identification to bring, the planned time in the air, and the weather, rescheduling and cancellation policies. Call (480) 685-5440 if a detail you need is not in the booking information.
