FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes. When conducted with a CFI, up to 25 hours of simulator time can count toward the FAA's 50-hour simulator allowance for the Commercial Pilot Certificate.
If you want the hours to count toward FAA requirements, yes — a CFI must be present. You can also rent the simulator for personal practice without a CFI, but those hours won't be loggable toward certificate requirements.
